Subnautica Easy Way to Get Cyclops Engine Fragments
Search on the wiki.
Or just go explore.
I found them in underwater island.
Otherwise, before the oculus update, they were near the front of aurora, or of his back.
Experimental or stable ?
Where? I looked in the whole wreck there, but haven't found them!
My suggestion is dont try to build a cyclops. theres a bug in the game where if you leave and come back ur cyclops will despawn. Just try to find the moonpool fragments instead

I thought you needed the cyclops to fing the moonpool fragments. Am I wrong?
The engine fragments arn't exactly in the wreck in this particular case. I've always found them lying around in the open on the cliff ledges around the underwater islands, and even a few slowly rolling off the mountain island iteslf. Also mentioned, there are often pieces of the engine in some of the larger boxes in the Aurora.
You don't exactly 'need' the cyclops to get the moonpool, but a lot of people may find it helps, since the wrecks the moonpool fragments are in are usually right at the limits of the Seamoths default maximum depth.

Where are the Moonpool fragments? I thought they were under the island. (Floater Island.)
Also, my seamoth has a pressure compensator.
Thanks for the help, found the cyclops fragments.
Yep, you got the right idea. I'd suggest heading on over to the shallower wreck and trying your luck there. It's just on the brink of the seamoths limits but there shouldn't be too many critters to shove your sub off below crush depth while you're away. I've never actually been to the deeper of the grand reef wrecks, so i can't speak for that one out of experience, but I do know I've managed the shallow one with just the seamoth before, and I almost always come out of it with the completed blueprint.
Glad you got those engine parts! \o/
Thanks, and also, would it be easier just to use the PRAWN suit? I just made one, and I'm trying not to let the power go to my head. ;)
That's something you'd have to experience yourself because I really don't use the PRAWN unless I absolutely have no other choice. I'm just not comfortable being restrcted to the seafloor and fall into more holes than I probably should. And without the grapple arms (this is pre-moonpool, after all) it's even more daunting to get there and back, especially somewhere as potentially deep as Grand Reef.
If you pack responsibly for the trip, it might not go that bad for you, especially if you're any bit familiar with the area. But I'll always personally prefer to take the seamoth if I can, or even the cyclops if I can squeeze it into an area. As fun as it may be to be able to pinch/punch the more annoying wildlife so they get off my case, I don't really enjoy the PRAWN much. So I'll have to leave that to other people to praise it's usefulness. :D
I found some fragments in the giant mushroom forest biome. could I find some more there? also, starting from the escape pod, from which direction should I go to find the mountains and the underwater islands?
Facing the ship from your lifepod, left.
That should get you to moutains. Watch out for Leviathans!
For Underwater Islands, Facing ship from lifepod, left and backwards.

Also, fragments of what? (Cyclops Engine, Moonpool, Charger, Etc.)

Directions wise, if you have the compass, head straight north from the life pod and you'll have the best chance of spotting both locations. Try learning the location of the mountains first, since it's extremely easy to spot from the surface and pretty safe so long as you come up on it's left-hand shore. The underwater islands is pretty much directly down from that shorline (Going West); just follow the slope till you see the giant floaters.
If you have the signal for Lifepod 3 already, that's also a great navigation tool, because it'll also lead you in the right direction. Just have a look around north of that.
